Tumo Creative Technologies Center was officially opened in Kutaisi, Georgia. The opening ceremony took place on July 24, and the center will accept the first students from September.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvirishvili, as well as other representatives of the government and partner organizations took part in the opening event.
The new center is located in the landmark Parliament building, known for its futuristic glass dome, and will now serve as Technopark. The new center will give 1,800 students a week the opportunity to receive innovative technology and design education for free, studying 11 of Tumo's fields.
The project was implemented at the initiative of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), which aims to develop the innovative ecosystem and technological infrastructure in the country.
