Today you can build a website in one evening with a site builder and a ready-made template. Such a site looks good in screenshots, but for a business it often stays a digital business card that brings no customers. A professional website solves a different problem: it has to be found on Google, load fast on a phone, take orders and payments, and your team has to be able to run it without a developer.
This article explains what specifically separates a business website from a template one, which types of websites exist and how long each takes. If you are already choosing a contractor, also read our 10 questions to ask before ordering a website.
What makes a website professional
Custom code, not a builder
A builder limits you to what it can do. When you need a non-standard calculation, an integration with accounting software or a complex catalogue, it turns out to be either impossible or to require dozens of plugins that slow the site down. A custom-coded site follows the logic of your business and can grow with it.
Speed
Most people open websites on their phones, often on a slow connection. If a page takes several seconds to load, some visitors leave before they even see the offer. Speed is also a Google ranking factor. Our own site scores 99–100 in Google PageSpeed, and we apply the same approach to client projects. One client, whose earlier project had failed with another company, wrote in a review that the site we rebuilt from scratch in 3 months became about 15 times faster.
SEO in three languages
In Armenia, customers search in Armenian, Russian and English. A translate button is not enough. Each language needs its own address (for example /hy, /ru), its own titles and descriptions, correct hreflang tags (they tell Google which page is for which language) and a sitemap. Without these, the second and third languages barely appear in search.
Admin panel
Your team should be able to change prices and add products, news and images on its own. A good admin panel is clear even to someone far from programming, and shows each employee only what they need.
Payments with Armenian systems
To sell online, a site must accept the payments your customers are used to: Idram, ArCa cards, Telcell. A proper integration includes automatic payment status checks, so that no order is confirmed without a real payment.
Analytics
You need to know where visitors come from, which pages work and where people abandon an order. Analytics and goals (request, call, purchase) are set up from launch day, not "later".
Security
HTTPS, protection against attacks through forms, backups, timely version updates. Most template sites get hacked precisely through outdated plugins.
Website types, timelines and prices in 2026
| Type | Example | Timeline | Approximate cost |
| Landing page | one service or product, an ad campaign, collecting leads | 1–2 weeks | 250 000 – 450 000 ֏ |
| Corporate website | company presentation, services, projects, blog, several languages | 3–4 weeks | 450 000 – 900 000 ֏ |
| Online shop with Armenian payments | catalogue, cart, Idram, ArCa, Telcell, order management | 4–6 weeks | 900 000 – 2 000 000 ֏ |
| Web platform / CRM | user accounts, roles, internal processes, integrations | 6–10 weeks | from 2 500 000 ֏ |
These timelines are usually shorter than what the market expects, because scope is agreed at the start and design and development run in parallel. The figures are approximate. We give the exact price and deadline after a free estimate within 2–3 days, fix them in writing, and they do not change. You can pay once you have received the complete working website and confirmed that everything matches your requirements. Larger projects can also be split into stages, each accepted separately.
What drives the price
- Number of pages and features. Five pages without calculations are simpler than a filtered catalogue with user accounts.
- Number of languages. Each language means its own texts, addresses and SEO setup.
- Design. A unique design takes more work than a clean, strict layout.
- Integrations. Payment systems, 1C, CRM, Telegram notifications: each is separate work.
- Content. Do you already have texts and photos, or do they need to be created too?
How the process works
- Discussion and brief. We clarify the goal, the audience, the pages and features you need. Scope, timeline and cost are then fixed in writing.
- Design. Key pages first, then the rest. Revisions are unlimited at this stage, until you are fully satisfied.
- Development. The site is built on a staging address where you can follow progress.
- Content and SEO. Texts in three languages, titles, descriptions, sitemap.
- Testing and launch. Checks on different devices, a speed test, analytics setup, then the move to your main domain.

Our working terms
We sign an NDA before discussing details. You pay only after you have received the complete working website and confirmed that everything matches your requirements; on larger projects, by accepted stages. We follow international development standards and provide a warranty and long-term support.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build a website?
A landing page takes 1–2 weeks, a corporate website 3–4 weeks, an online shop 4–6 weeks, and a web platform from 6 weeks.
How much does a website cost in Armenia?
A landing page costs roughly 250 000 – 450 000 ֏, a corporate website 450 000 – 900 000 ֏, an online shop 900 000 – 2 000 000 ֏, and a web platform from 2 500 000 ֏. The exact price is fixed in writing after a free estimate and does not change.
Why not just use a template or a site builder?
For a simple business card site, that can be enough. If the site has to sell, work in three languages, take payments and load fast, custom code is the more reliable choice in the long run.
Can the website accept Idram, ArCa and Telcell payments?
Yes. These systems are connected to the online shop with automatic payment status checks.
Can I update the website content myself?
Yes. Through the admin panel your team changes texts, images, products and prices on its own.
Remember: you pay only when you have received the complete working website and made sure it meets your requirements. Tell us about your project via the contacts page or read more about website development.
