UI/UX Design

Research, prototypes and interfaces people understand without being told how.

CodeOrigins is a UI UX design agency that has been designing interfaces for websites, mobile apps and internal systems since 2022. Design here does not start with picking colours. It starts with a question: what did this person come to this screen to do, and what is currently stopping them from doing it.

You can order UI/UX design as a standalone service for your own developers, or as a phase inside a full development project with us. Either way you receive an organised Figma file, an interactive prototype and a documented design system.

Research and UX analysis

Every project starts with research. We talk to your users, study analytics from the existing site, watch Hotjar session recordings and analyse how competitors solve the same problems. From that we define user personas, the tasks they are trying to complete and the obstacles in their way. If you already have a live product we run a UX audit and deliver a prioritised list of issues. This phase is the cheapest one and influences the outcome most, because a wrong assumption gets corrected on paper rather than in production code.

Wireframes and interactive prototypes

Before any colour appears we build wireframes: black and white screen structures where content hierarchy and element logic are visible without visual polish distracting from them. Then we assemble an interactive prototype in Figma with real transitions and states. You can open that prototype on your phone and walk the whole path, from signup to payment, before a single line of code is written. This is where most unnecessary steps get discovered, at the point when removing them costs nothing at all.

UI design and design systems

In the visual phase we build a typographic scale, a colour palette checked for contrast, and a component library covering buttons, inputs, modals and tables with every state: hover, disabled, error, loading. This is a design system, not a folder of attractive screens. When your team adds a new page they assemble it from existing components, so the interface does not decay six months after launch. Everything is designed mobile-first, against WCAG accessibility requirements and with realistic text lengths in every language you support.

Developer handoff and testing

A design is worth nothing if developers cannot reproduce it accurately. We hand over the Figma file organised properly, with named layers, auto-layout, shared styles and components, plus a written specification covering transitions and edge cases. Where needed we run an acceptance pass, comparing the built interface against the mockups screen by screen. After launch we offer usability testing with five to eight real users and a second round of refinements based on observed behaviour rather than opinion.

How we work

01

Research

User interviews, analytics review and competitor analysis. We define the real tasks and the obstacles blocking them.

02

Structure and wireframes

We map screen structure and the user journey, and sign off the logic before any visual design begins.

03

UI design

We build the visual language, the component library and every screen in both mobile and desktop layouts.

04

Prototype and handoff

We assemble an interactive Figma prototype, test it with real people and hand it to the development team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between UI and UX?

UX answers how the product works: what steps a person takes toward their goal and where they get stuck. UI is the visual layer of colour, typography and components. Attractive UI on top of broken UX only hides the problem, so we always do both together.

How long does UI/UX design take?

A landing page takes 1–2 weeks. A corporate website or a mid-sized app takes 3–6 weeks. Large systems with dozens of screens and several user roles need 6–10 weeks. The timeline is fixed in the contract once the research phase is complete.

Can I order design without development?

Yes, this is one of our most common engagements. You receive the organised Figma file, the design system and an interactive prototype for your own in-house or external developers. We can also stay available to support them during implementation.

Do you work in Figma?

Yes, all work happens in Figma. You get file access from day one, so you can follow progress in real time and leave comments directly on the mockups rather than exchanging screenshots and revision numbers by email.

Can you redesign an existing product?

Yes. We begin with a UX audit covering analytics, session recordings and the conversion funnel, then present a prioritised list of problems. It often turns out that a full redesign is unnecessary and targeted fixes deliver most of the improvement.

Do you run usability testing?

Yes. At the prototype stage we run sessions with five to eight real users who attempt specific tasks while we observe. That sample size is usually enough to surface the majority of serious problems, well before any development budget has been spent.
