Turning expo registration and venue entry into a fast QR-driven flow
MedMeet is Armenia's healthcare Expo, attended by doctors, healthcare professionals and visitors. Each group has to register, get through the venue entrance quickly and find the right hall, speaker and session. Doing this at the door with paper lists creates queues and loses control over participant flow.
What we engineered
- Built a React Native app on a Laravel backend for registration as a doctor or as a visitor.
- Issued every participant a personal QR code used to enter the Expo venue.
- Engineered QR-based access control for fast, organised check-in and managed participant flow.
- Delivered a full event information system: Expo details, venue information, schedules and session programs.
- Added map navigation and detailed pages for halls, speakers and each session.
The result
Registration, entry, navigation and the event program now live in one app, giving every MedMeet participant a smoother and more organised Expo experience.
Context
MedMeet is Armenia's healthcare Expo, a professional event for doctors, healthcare professionals and visitors. For the organisers, the participant experience starts long before the opening: people need to register, get into the venue without delay and know where and when each session takes place. The mobile app became the main digital tool for managing participation in the Expo.

Architecture and technology
- React Native: one codebase for iOS and Android, so every participant gets the same app regardless of their phone.
- Laravel (PHP): the backend that handles registration, issues the QR codes and serves the event program to the app.
- UI/UX design: an interface built so that registration, the QR code and the program are each a few taps away.
Business value
The organisers now run registration, entry, navigation and the event program from one app instead of separate tools and paper lists at the door. Participants arrive with their QR code ready, move through check-in quickly and find their sessions without asking for directions.
