WordPress was created for blogs, and when a business website is built on it, it quickly turns into a pile of dozens of plugins that slow the site down, open security holes and break during updates. A website written in clean code with Laravel contains only what your business needs: it is faster, more secure, and it can grow for years without starting over.
| Criterion | WordPress | Laravel (clean code) |
|---|---|---|
| What it was made for | Blogs | Any business system |
| Code quality | Thousands of lines from other people's plugins | Only code written for your project |
| Speed | Slows down as plugins pile up | Fast even under heavy load |
| Security | Thousands of new plugin vulnerabilities are found every year | No unneeded code, so no unneeded risk |
| Updates | A plugin update can break the site | Controlled, tested updates |
| Custom features | Limited to what plugins can do | No limits |
| Mobile app | Does not fit well | One backend serves both the website and the app |
| Dependency | On plugin authors and paid licences | The code is fully yours |
What problems WordPress causes over time
- The site slows down, and Google ranks it lower in search results.
- After a plugin update, part of the site stops working.
- Paid plugin licences have to be renewed every year.
- When you need a new feature, it turns out the plugin cannot do it, and the site has to be rewritten.
Why we work only with clean code
We are responsible for the website after launch too. In a site written in clean code we know every line, we can fix any problem quickly and add new features without risk. That is why we do not work with WordPress or website builders.
From our experience
All our projects are built with clean code. For example, the ProMobile and BonPharm mobile apps run on a Laravel backend: one system serves both the admin panel and the app.
